DermaLax is used for the temporary improvement of wrinkles by injecting it into the skin layer around the facial wrinkles. It is a colorless and transparent gel-type product with viscoelasticity composed of a stabilized non-animal hyaluronic acid.

DermaLax is tissue reconstructive material that intended to be used for facial tissue augmentation. It is recommended that the product be used for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles, folds, and acne scars.

How do I select a model type:

1. DermaLax Plus: With the smallest particles for the correction of very thin, superficial lines.
   Injected in the upper part of the dermis.
   For correction of thin superficial lines, such as worry lines, periorbital lines, perioral lines. 
2. DermaLax Deep Plus: Medium particle size for moderate wrinkles.
   Injected in the middle part of the dermis.
   For the treatment of moderate wrinkles, such as glabellar, oral commissures, Lips fullness, pouting, and vermilion border.
3. DermaLax Implant Plus:  Larger particles for deep folds. 
   Injected in the deep layer of the dermis and the surface layer of the subcutis.
   For correcting deep folds, creating fuller lips, and shaping facial contours, such as cheeks and chin.

1. What is Dermal Filler?
Dermal Fillers are made from a substance that occurs naturally in human skin - this means they are extremely safe to use and can give fantastic enhancements to lips and facial lines.

2. How long does it last?

It is long-lasting, but not permanent. Depending on the product used, the injection area treated and the individual dispositions of your skin, the results can last from 6 months up to a year.

3. When will I see results?

You will see results immediately; however, some swelling and redness are not uncommon and, as such, the immediate result should not be regarded as the final result. Best results are seen after 2-3 days.

4. Is there any side effect?

You may experience some discomfort such as temporary tenderness, redness, and swelling on the injected area. They usually disappear on their own in less than 7 days. You can apply an ice pack for a brief period on the injection site to help ease any swelling.

5. Is the treatment painful?

The injections are done with very fine needles and are usually pain-free. Subject to the treated area and your sensitivity, anesthetic cream or block can be applied before the procedure.

6. Are there any recommendations?

In order to reduce the risk of bruising and bleeding at the injection site, avoid any medications such as anticoagulants and anti-inflammatories, that can prolong bleeding, the week before receiving the treatment. After the injection, you should not apply any make-up for 12 hours and avoid sunbathing or high temperatures for one week. Ask your healthcare professional what he or she recommends.

7. Are there any exclusion criteria?

HA Dermal Filler can not be used for:

• Patients who tend to develop hypertrophic scarring 
• Patients with a history of autoimmune disease or who are receiving immune therapy 
• Patients who are known to be hypersensitive to hyaluronic acid 
• Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Patients under 18 years 
• Areas presenting cutaneous, inflammatory, or infectious processes
