Introduction

ART FILLER UNIVERSAL FILLMED is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler for Medium to Deep lines and wrinkles and replacement of lost volume by injection into the middle or deep layer of the skin.  It can also be used in combination with other FILLMED products.

UNIVERSAL is a viscoelastic cross-linked hyaluronic acid gel of non-animal origin gradually absorbed over time. It is colorless, transparent, sterile, non-pyrogenic and saline and contains a 0.3% volume of lidocaine hydrochloride for its anesthetic properties. It is available in a pre-filled and single-use 1.2ml syringe. Each pack contains 2 UNIVERSAL syringes, 4 sterile and single-use 27G ½´´ needles intended for injection of UNIVERSAL, a product leaflet and 4 traceability labels. In order to guarantee traceability of the product, one of the two labels must be affixed to the patient file and the other must be transmitted to the patient.

1. WHAT IS HYALURONIC ACID ?

Despite its harsh-sounding name, hyaluronic acid is not a caustic, harmful substance but a molecule that occurs naturally in the human body. It is one of the main components of the extra-cellular matrix within the skin.
This molecule has excellent water-holding capacity (it can retain 1,000 times its own weight in moisture) and helps to give the skin youthful plumpness and tone. So, it really plays an important role in “supporting” the skin and this is why we witness many changes as we age, when the level and quality of the hyaluronic acid in our body decreases. The skin loses its elasticity, becomes drier and less plump. By replenishing the declining levels of the body’s naturally occurring hyaluronic acid, fine lines and wrinkles can be corrected and skin density restored.

Application

Injection is done in the middle or deep layer of the skin, dependent upon how deep the wrinkle, line, or trace: filling medium to deep skin depressions that include wrinkles, lines, traces, etc.,

• increase lip volume,
• lip contour definition and correction.

How Many Sessions are Required for Treatment?

• 3 to 6 sessions spaced out by 1 month.
• Maintenance session every 6 months.
• Alone or in combination with dermal fillers and NCTF mesotherapy injections.

Contraindicated

1. hypersensitivity to one of the components,
2. skin infection near the site of injection,
3. patients susceptible to keloid formation,
4. pregnant or lactating women,

7. autoimmune disorders,
8. antibiotic therapy.
