Introduction

ART FILLER VOLUME FILLMED is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler for shaping, projecting and to replace lost volume in the face by injection into the temples, checks, chin and jaw line.  It can also be used in combination with other FILLMED products.

VOLUME is a viscoelastic cross-linked hyaluronic acid gel of non-animal origin gradually absorbed over time. It is colorless, transparent, sterile, non-pyrogenic and saline and contains a 0.3% volume of lidocaine hydrochloride for its anesthetic properties. It is available in a pre-filled and single-use 1.2ml syringe. Each pack contains 2 VOLUME syringes, 4 sterile and single-use 27G ½´´ needles intended for injection of VOLUME, a product leaflet and 4 traceability labels. In order to guarantee traceability of the product, one of the two labels must be affixed to the patient file and the other must be transmitted to the patient.

1. WHAT IS HYALURONIC ACID ?

Despite its harsh-sounding name, hyaluronic acid is not a caustic, harmful substance but a molecule that occurs naturally in the human body. It is one of the main components of the extra-cellular matrix within the skin.
This molecule has excellent water-holding capacity (it can retain 1,000 times its own weight in moisture) and helps to give the skin youthful plumpness and tone. So, it really plays an important role in “supporting” the skin and this is why we witness many changes as we age, when the level and quality of the hyaluronic acid in our body decreases. The skin loses its elasticity, becomes drier and less plump. By replenishing the declining levels of the body’s naturally occurring hyaluronic acid, fine lines and wrinkles can be corrected and skin density restored.

How Many Sessions are Required for Treatment?

• 3 to 6 sessions spaced out by 1 month.
• Maintenance session every 6 months.

Contraindicated

1. hypersensitivity to one of the components,
2. skin infection near the site of injection,
3. patients susceptible to keloid formation,
4. pregnant or lactating women,
5. allergy or anaphylaxis,
6. bleeding disorders,
7. autoimmune disorders,
