What's PRP?
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is an autologous concentrated preparation of platelets and the associated growth factors in a small volume of plasma. Platelets are a natural source of a number of growth factors in their natural and biologically-determined ratios.
How to Make PRP?
PRP Preparation Procedure
1. Withdraw Blood and Prepare PRP.
a. Fill PRP tubes with patient's blood.
b. Turn the tube upside down for 3-5 times, then place it in the straight position for 15-20 minutes.
2. Centrifugation.
a. Placed in a centrifuge for 10-15 minutes at speed 3000-3500rpm (room temperature 20-25℃)
b. Blood will fractionate, PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) will be on top and red blood cells and white blood cells at the bottom, the platelet poor Plasma (PPP) is discarded. Concentrated platelets are collected into a sterile syringe.
Application of PRP
Platelets release growth factors which regulate the healing cascade by signaling to surround cells to repair damaged tissue and regenerate new tissue. Key growth factors involved in this process include but are not limited to:
- Platelet-Derived Growth Factor (PDGF)
- Transforming Growth Factor group (TGF)
- Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)
- Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF)
- Fibroblast Growth Factor (FGF)
- Keratinocyte Growth Factor (KGF)

What is the size of tube ? My centrifuge holds 20 ml tubes and the centrifuges sold on this website hold 15ml tubes. What do I do so that I can spin it properly?

*I love these for prp. The plasma is separated by the gel so one can easily extract the prp and ppp. I do with the tubes were a bit larger.

High quality, sterile PRP tubes
*These tubes come in fours, packaged in a sterile container. They are specifically designed for aesthetic use of PRP, hence no pyrogen. Because it's somewhat on the lower end of blood volume collected (most PRP collection systems are 11ml or greater), I have been drawing two 8-ml tubes for use for full face microneedling. Great to use in combination with iBeautyPen2!

Great PRP Tubes, Work Perfectly!
*Love these tubes, the sodium citrate with gel works perfectly for separating out PRP and PPP from whole blood. These work just as well as more expensive tubes, and now I can use more tubes as needed and save money. Highly recommend these tubes!
